Holly Hunter was an American actress who became famous for the films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her film Piano earned her an Oscar. The path to acting began with Broadway through a myriad of Broadway as well as Off Broadway initiatives. When she was a kid, Helen Keller was her most loved character from a fifth class production. She was born deaf in the one ear after suffering from mumps but did not permit this to deter the determination of her to become an actor. She was a drama major at the college before moving between Pittsburgh to New York City to follow her goals. Hunter had her Broadway debut following a chance conversation and Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated for Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The first time she appeared in a film was following her move from Los Angeles. Her professional career spans over thirty years and she's appeared in many TV movies as well as series and films. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has also won the Women in Film Lucy Award.
